Current offers from the brokers we review, each shown with its turnover requirement rather than just its headline. That requirement is what decides whether an offer is worth taking, and it is the part broker marketing tends to leave out.
A bonus is not free money. Where a turnover requirement exists, work out what that volume costs you in spread before deciding. In most cases it exceeds the bonus. Offers with no requirement — cashback and commission waivers — are the ones that reduce your real cost.
Our take: Twenty lots in sixty days is a demanding requirement for a $100 credit — you would pay more than the bonus in spread reaching it unless you already trade that volume. Take it only if the turnover matches what you were going to trade anyway.
Our take: The most useful shape of offer here: it is a genuine cost reduction, paid in withdrawable cash with no turnover condition attached. Worth counting against the spread when comparing total cost.
Our take: Straightforward and hard to misread — for a month you get raw pricing without the commission. The catch is only that it makes the account look cheaper than it will be from day 31, so model the real cost before committing.
Our take: Free to enter and costs nothing but time. Be aware that contests reward the highest return over a short window, which rewards exactly the oversized position sizing you should be avoiding on a live account.
Our take: The $30 itself is never withdrawable — only profit made with it, and only after five lots of turnover. Treat it as a funded trial rather than free money, because on a $30 balance five lots means position sizes that will almost certainly lose it first.
Usually not. Almost every deposit bonus carries a turnover requirement, and reaching it costs more in spread than the bonus is worth unless you were already going to trade that volume. Cashback and commission waivers are more often genuinely valuable because they reduce cost rather than adding a condition.
The trading volume you must complete before the bonus, or profit made from it, can be withdrawn. A $100 bonus with a 20-lot requirement means placing $2m of notional volume — on a typical spread that costs far more than $100.
